At The Little Nell, we love fresh ingredients in our cuisine and cocktails, from vegetables and herbs to edible flowers. To complement our complimentary weekly garden tours in the summer, our bartenders at element 47, created the “Mountain Mojito”, which can be made as a cocktail or mocktail (sans the rum). For this summer drink, they pick fresh mint leaves straight from The Nell’s garden.
Best enjoyed at The Nell, poolside in view of the living wall. For when you’re not here as our guest, you can make this refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) at home with the recipe below, and pick up fresh mint at your local farmer’s market.
Mountain Mojito Recipe
1.5 oz Montanya platinum rum (for cocktail)
.5 oz lime juice
.5 oz agave
.5 oz blood orange puree
4 fresh mint leaves
Splash of soda water
Muddle the mint along with the lime juice and agave in a Collins glass
Add ice and the rest of the ingredients
Top with soda water
Garnish with fresh mint
