Meet JC – Our Bartender for the Apres Ski Cocktail Classic Pub Crawl

Post-event update: JC’s cocktail won the Audience Award in the Pub Crawl!

A highlight on the schedule for this weekend’s Apres Ski Cocktail Classic is the Great Après Ski Pub Crawl! On Sunday, March 6, from 2 – 6 pm, take part in the progressive tasting that weaves through a dozen plus bars in Aspen vying for the audience favorite award for “Best Après Ski Cocktail.”  Your ticket provides your credential and the signature sample size cocktail at each venue.

This year’s Great Après Ski Pub Crawl venues are:

Chair 9 at The Little Nell
39 Degrees at The Sky Hotel
Nello Alpine
Chef’s Club at The St. Regis
Jimmy’s Bodega
Justice Snow’s
Jimmy’s Restaurant
The Living Room at Hotel Jerome
J-Bar at Hotel Jerome
Hops Culture
Aspen Kitchen
Casa Tua

Representing Chair 9 at The Nell will be Jon “JC” Clark. JC began his bartending career at the Five-Star Stein Eriksen Lodge in Deer Valley, Utah, working in the luxury hotel’s Troll Hallen Lounge. He spent last summer tending bar on Nantucket at the White Elephant Hotel. In the fall of 2015, he made the move to Aspen to take a job at “one of the best ski hotels in the world,” The Little Nell. JC’s no stranger to competition, having placed second in a bourbon-based contest in Park City. He’s excited to take part in the Apres Ski Cocktail Classic with Don Julio as his spirit. “When it comes to tequila, I feel like most people first reach for Patron, then after trying Don Julio, that’s what they prefer.”  When it comes to the Pub Crawl competition, JC’s goal is for guests to agree that Don Julio’s the top spirit, favor his cocktail and vote him best bartender! Come try his drink – The Silver Miner’s Daughter – and be sure to cast your vote by texting to 22333 with message 353346 and the keyword “Chair 9” or tweet at @poll with the keyword “Chair 9.”
