Keri Blair, owner of The Style Studio, recently visited Aspen to meet with clients and enjoy a weekend getaway with her family. As a personal stylist and image consultant, Keri knows a thing or two about style, and says The Little Nell did not disappoint. This fall, Keri stayed at The Nell with her husband and daughter, and shared details of her trip with us below.
Q: What was your first impression of the hotel?
A: WOW is the best word I have to describe this amazing hotel nestled at the base of Aspen mountain. From the moment we pulled up the service was exquisite. Each person we met from the valet, bellman, front desk ladies, concierge, etc. was gracious and willing to serve. After we got a tour of the property
which included their 5 star restaurant, quaint pool and living room, we were escorted up to our suite. As we opened the door, we said WOW yet again. This room is g
orgeous and full of five star amenities. We have travelled all over Colorado and have stayed at some spectacular hotels but this one, was the best yet.
Q: How did our family amenities affect your stay?
A: As a Mom, I was most impressed with how they cater to families and kids. Upon entering our room, Stella was so excited that they had a step stool that looks like a kitty cat, a hooded towel and other bath goodies as well as a little pink robe for her. It had all of the comforts of home. And then we went into the bedroom and Stella had her own big girl toddler bed and a new stuffed reindeer toy to introduce to her bear. She was elated which of course made us very happy. It’s very rare to find a hotel to accommodate a toddler and The Little Nell goes overboard!
Q: What were the highlights of your stay?
A: Once we relaxed into our room and opened our balcony door overlooking the pool and restaurant in a gorgeous little courtyard, we were delighted to hear a saxophonist playing smooth jazz just below us. Usually when we stay in hotels, even gorgeous ones, I want to leave the room and explore the place we are but with The Little Nell, this experience was so amazing I didn’t want to leave the room. With complimentary beverages and snacks, a nearly full bar and spacious suite, who could want more?
Q: What is your recommendation for families who want to enjoy fall colors on a budget?
A: If you are a Colorado resident, take advantage of this amazing five star resort right in the heart of Aspen and enjoy a special Colorado resident rate. Some nights are just $189 which makes this hotel not only gorgeous, but a real bargain.”
