A Non-Skiers Guide to Aspen: 10 Things to do in the Winter

While Aspen Snowmass’ powdery slopes are well-renowned, that’s not the only thing our alluring mountain town is known for. For the enjoyment of the non-skiers in the world, our expert team has put together a list of delightful experiences in Aspen besides hitting the slopes.

Snowshoeing

Although you may not be a skier, there are other terrific options for experiencing Aspen’s famous slopes throughout the season. Adventure through fir forests and marvel at the gorgeous picturesque views the Aspen area offers by snowshoeing in the winter. Some of our favorite off-the-beaten-path trails include Ashcroft, Richmond Ridge, and Tom Blake Trail.

World-Class Dining

Savor delicious flavors and striking mountain views at Ajax Tavern, a casual dining restaurant located at the base of Aspen Mountain. We recommend trying the truffle fries and mouth-watering Ajax wagyu double cheeseburger. If you’re craving a more elevated dining experience, Element 47 is known for its take on Colorado contemporary cuisine and wine pairings, along with the Five-Star service The Little Nell is known for.

Stunning Art Exhibits
