The third Annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Festival and BBQ will take over the Ajax Tavern patio on Labor Day, Monday, September 1 from 5-9 p.m. The party will feature unlimited oysters on the half shell, Oysters Casino and other creative oyster hors d’oeuvres including the famed Rocky Mountain oyster. The event is all you can eat/drink.
“In addition to delicious oysters, there will also be whole-roasted pork and beer can chicken for those feeling more carnivorous,” says Tim Baldwin, food and beverage director for The Little Nell. “And for those brave enough to try, we’ll have delicious Rocky Mountain oysters — not on the half shell.”
The event will have live music and an array of Colorado beer and wines by the glass available on an unlimited basis. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be offered at no additional cost. A salad station will offer veggies, with dishes like heirloom tomato salad with ricotta and basil. Tickets are $79 and are available online.
