David’s Journal ~ Argentina, Day 3

And the adventure continues in Argentina!  Rees had his first ‘Argentine Grand Slam’ and the guests continued to be awed by the beauty of Argentina.

Day Three

Today was Rees Poag’s banner day fishing Little and Big Fonck Lakes.  Rees started his day with a fat 21 inch Brook Trout.  He then landed a nice 22 inch Rainbow.  At this point, we were thinking this would be his day for his first ‘Argentine Grand Slam.’  Later in the afternoon, a fat 23 inch Brown Trout clobbered his dry fly and his ‘Grand Slam’ was complete!  He caught them all, nonetheless, on dry flies.  He was one happy fisherman!

Kelly Lasher caught some great Rainbows on Big Fonch and, by lunch time ,was ready to call it a day.

The scenery today was spectacular, as it is every day.  It seemed as if wild flowers and towering mountain peaks greeted us wherever we turned.  Particularly grand this day, was the way the sun was reflecting off the glacier fields above us and the waterfalls seemed to dissolve into mist as they dropped 600 or more feet.
