Aspen ski season has started off with a bang at Aspen Snowmass, thanks to a series of winter storms that have swept through the Rockies, including one this week aptly named Ajax. With ample snow for an early opening, Aspen Mountain presented a Preview Weekend on Saturday, Nov. 13, and Sunday. Nov. 14, to the delight of skiers and riders who enjoyed fresh tracks and sunny weather. Both Aspen and Snowmass ski areas will open for the season this Saturday, Nov. 21, well before the scheduled Thanksgiving Opening Day. The Little Nell’s Ski Concierge is ready and awaiting your arrival with pastries and coffee in the morning, cookies in the afternoon, and ski tunes available overnight by our in-house technician. Ajax Tavern is also open for the winter, offering early season specials during apres and a 3 for $37 prix fixe for dinner. Let it Snow!
