While the Academy Award-winning movie “Sideways” may have cast a spotlight on pinot noir to the average wine consumer, the Pinot Posse has taken it a step further. This troupe of West Coast winemakers begins their tenth ride through the Rockies this week with stops at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs on Jan. 18, Denver’s Table 6 on Jan. 19, Ajax Tavern on Jan. 20 and Steamboat Springs’ Café Diva on Jan. 21.

Founded by wine importer John Salamanski, the spirited group features some of the best pinot noir winemakers in the country, many of whom have been recognized among Wine Spectator’s top 100, including Kosta-Browne who was ranked #1 in 2011.

Known to be a fun and feverish affair, each stop along the Pinot Posse route is a highlight for food and wine enthusiasts. For the 2015 Colorado tour, the line-up includes personalities and vintages from Bonaccorsi, Owen Roe, J.K. Carriere, August West and Cargasacchi.

Join us at Ajax Tavern on Tues., Jan. 20 for a grand time, fine wines and a four-course dinner from Chef Lewis “Lewie” Guarasci.

For reservations, please call 970.920.6334 or email Ajax Tavern.
