Are you planning to be in Aspen for this New Year’s Eve? We hope so, but if you’re still unsure of your plans, why not come to Aspen to celebrate with this town and its wonderful people? If you’re not quite convinced, here are the top 5 reasons to ring in the New Year in Aspen:
1. The Drinks
New Year’s Eve is all about celebration and memories that last. Aspen offers some of the finest and most diverse Colorado spirits and brews as well as wines from around the world. There are countless venues throwing bashes around town, offering the finest cocktails and Champagne. (Although we challenge anyone to top our Dom Pérignon Party.) The Nell’s pop-up champagne bar, Aspen Oasis, will make two special appearances at the base of Aspen Mountain from 7:30 – 8:30 pm and 11:30 pm – 12:30 am. Come enjoy a glass of Veuve Clicquot and chocolate covered strawberries as you watch the fireworks above. There is no better reason to cheers.
2. The Music
With four musical acts at The Little Nell alone, the celebration is guaranteed to last all night long. Local favorite Chromeo is playing at the Belly Up (sold out) and countless other bands and DJs will be serenading the town. If you’re planning to join The Little Nell, Electric Violinist Kat V and DJ Lexey will get the crowd on their feet in The Belvedere Lounge, DJ Cyn will be spinning in The Dom Pérignon Lounge with Brazilian dancers, and Josefina Mendez Jazz Trio will perform in The Hennessy Lounge.
3. Aspen’s Legendary Food Scene
We don’t expect you to dance and drink all night without some food in your system, and in Aspen, you’re in good hands. With some of the finest and freshest restaurants in Colorado, you can eat whatever and wherever you desire.
May we suggest our own element 47 for food and wine pairing prepared by our Master Sommelier, Carlton McCoy? For a more casual experience, we recommend our sister hotel, The Limelight’s Lounge, which serves up brick oven pizza. For a late night snack, we’ll be serving up gourmet street food, such as oysters, duck pot stickers, pretzel bites and more.
4. The Fireworks
The annual fireworks display over Aspen Mountain is the highlight of the evening. There’s no better way to ring in the New Year than with a champagne toast under fireworks with your loved ones.
for a unique viewing experience. we have three Clicquot Cats for the 8 pm and midnight fireworks shows. Enjoy champagne, caviar, shrimp, hot chocolate and more as you take in the magnificent fireworks from a private viewing area at the top of Little Nell ski run.
