Fall in the Rocky Mountains is nothing short of spectacular. Here are a few of our favorite ways to experience golden aspen leaves in all their splendor.
Scenic Airplane
The Little Nell Adventures is excited to announce a brand new way to experience golden fall colors in Colorado: leaf peeping by private plane. The high-end aircraft has room for eight guests and includes two full hours of flying over Colorado’s spectacular fall scenery. Following the plane flight, guests are treated to a European-style lunch with wine paired by a Master Sommelier in a rustic log cabin in Aspen’s Maroon Creek Valley. The cabin features spectacular views of the Maroon Bells (which happens to be one of the most photographed spots in the United States). The trip is priced at $4,295 inclusive for up to seven guests.
Helicopter/Fly Fishing
Guests may take an incredibly scenic two-hour helicopter flight over the spectacular Colorado Rockies to a private ranch, where they fish for beautiful trophy trout in a dream setting not seen by many who visit Aspen. Guests will enjoy a gourmet lunch before flying back to Aspen. Custom pricing.
Horseback
If flying isn’t the thing, we’re also offering half-day guided horseback trips through the Maroon Creek Valley, located just a few miles from the heart of Aspen. This adventure is paired with gourmet picnic lunch served on the banks of the Maroon Creek waters. The cost is $165 per person.
Audi
Guests of The Little Nell can grab the keys and go, taking one of the hotel’s fleet of Audi vehicles for a scenic drive up Independence Pass. The A8 offers speed, while the Q7 has a panoramic view of leaves from the sunroof… choices, choices! Guests may stop for a short hike at the beautiful Grottos area, featuring waterfalls and stunning aspen leaves. A picnic lunch may be prepared for guests by The Little Nell to be enjoyed on the banks of the stream. Use of the Audi: complimentary to all Little Nell guests.
