There is an amazing amount of jazz at The Little Nell this week. JazzAspenSnowmass is featuring a great lineup in its June Festival Series. These are intimate performances at our new nightclub located on the lower level of The Little Nell Hotel.
On Wednesay, catch Kellylee Evans and Sara Gazarek, JazzAspenSnowmass Academy All Star Vocalists.
On Thursday, Maraca, a 12 piece Cuban Big Band, is performing.
And on Friday, it’s a fresh and fun take on Gypsy Jazz with the Hot Club of Detroit.
Tickets for performances are $30. Showtimes: 7:30 p.m. & 9:15 p.m. nightly. Call 970-920-4996 for tickets in advance, or you can purchase them at the door if available.
The Little Nell is also offering a special 3 course menu for just $32 at Ajax Tavern (920-6334 for reservations) or $62 at Montagna (920-6330 for reservations).
If that’s not enough music, on Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Ajax Tavern will be featuring Christof Brownell on piano. Christof has showcased his unique sound and style throughout New Mexico and Colorado, participating in the Telluride Jazz Fest and Taos Solar Music Festival numerous times. Christof has opened for headliners like Burning Spear, Steel Pulse, Merl Saunders, Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Taj Mahal to name a few.
