Congratulations to the Latest Class of Advanced Sommeliers
This week 30 of the countries 105 Master Sommeliers descended upon The Little Nell to administer the Court’s Advanced Examination to 54 of the industries leading wine professionals (including three of our own: David Amouyal, Vilma Mazaite, and Csaba Oveges) After three days of lectures, candidates received a written theory exam, a practical service examination and had 25 minutes to verbally analyze the sight, aromas, and palate of 6 mystery wines ~ deducing the grape, origin, quality level and vintage in front of a panel of Master Sommeliers. At the end of the intense examination, 10 emerged victoriously and are now eligible to sit for the fourth and final exam, the Masters.
