A Grand Welcome from Relais & Châteaux

Relais & Châteaux, an association of the world’s finest hoteliers, chefs and restaurateurs, has welcomed 36 new members for 2015, including The Little Nell, Aspen’s only five star, five diamond, ski-in/ski-out hotel.

All were invited to a welcome reception in New York City hosted by Relais & Châteaux held in December.

TLN-RC-logo-280x302Since 1941, Relais & Châteaux has set the standard for excellence in hospitality with an emphasis on Art de Vivre –  the Art of Living.

Since 1989, The Little Nell has presented guests with a cosmopolitan yet intimate ambiance, fine wine and haute cuisine, and exclusive adventures and amenities.

Relais & Châteaux’s history traces back to 1941 when two former music hall entertainers, Marcel and Nelly Tilloy, purchased La Cardinale, an estate in France’s Rhône Valley. In 1952, the Tilloys began recruiting other hoteliers and restaurant owners that shared the same level of quality and excellence and a passion for hospitality. In 1954, this group of kindred spirits merged together to create Relais & Châteaux. In the beginning, there were only eight establishments along the road between Paris and the French Riviera, the original Route du Bonheur or the Road of Happiness. Today, there are more than 530 member properties spanning across five continents.

The Little Nell is honored to be a part of this esteemed association and to extend our own joie de vivre or joy of living to our legion of loyal clientele, as well as to new guests we look forward to welcoming time and time again.
